In this regard “Templo de Debod” is the oldest building of Madrid, althought it was not raised there. The old Egyptian temple exists since 200 BC, and was brought to Madrid in 1972.

The place around Templo de Debod offers a nice view on the kings palace and the Casa de Campo as well. Experienced Madrid travellers claim that Templo de Debob is the nicest place of Madrid to enjoy the sunset.

Viaducto is a bridge in the district Madrid de los Austrias/La Latina, between the kings palace and the “Basilica San Francisco el Grande”.

The bridge was made of iron in 1874. In 1942 the construction was renewed by reinforced concrete. Since 1998 the bridge is enriched by two metres high glass plates on the edges of the passage, which should eliminate the plans of persons with suicidal thoughts.

On the Eastern side of the bridge gentle staircases lead down to “Calle Segovia”. Some steps deeper into this street, until the park called “Parque de Atenas”, the position offers the best sight on the whole bridge.

Metro 2 and 5: Opera
