Templo de Debod Madrid

Category: Madrid Sights – admin – 7:41 am

This kind of temple was a gift from Egypt for the Spanish help of saving the famous Egyptian temple Abu Simbel on the western shore of the Nil river.

In this regard “Templo de Debod” is the oldest building of Madrid, althought it was not raised there. The old Egyptian temple exists since 200 BC, and was brought to Madrid in 1972.

The place around Templo de Debod offers a nice view on the kings palace and the Casa de Campo as well. Experienced Madrid travellers claim that Templo de Debob is the nicest place of Madrid to enjoy the sunset.
