The “Museo National Centro de Arte Reina Sofia” is a museum in the east of the Lavapies district, and known for the famous painting called “Guernica”, which was done by Pablo Picasso in 1937. The world famous picture can be found on the second floor in the 6th room.

The museum has also many other interesting works of contemporary art from Spain from the beginning of the 20th century. The visitor can find pictures from Juan Gris, Joan Miro, and Salvador Dali.
The 4th floor of the museum offers a lot of space for Spains modern and current art.
