Chamberi is a very nice and beautiful residential area in Spains capital Madrid. The district is known for its rich and wealthy citizens. Chamberi reminds a bit on the neighbour district Salamanca. One main difference can be found in the buildings. Those are not that fancy as in Salamanca.
Another difference between Salamanca and Chamberi is the folksy character of Chamberi. Salamanca is more class-conscious in this regard.
The attractions of Chamberi are “Plaza Chamberi” and “Plaza Olavide”. Especially Plaza Olavide is very active location during summer nights.
A good starting point for the exploration of Chamberi is the square called “Glorieta de Quevedo” directly next to the same-named metro station of line 2.
