The construction works for Madrids cathedral “Catedral Nuestra Senora De La Almuneda” took quite a long time. The project started in 1880, and was finished during the 80′s of the next century. The final dedication took place in 1993.
Madrilenians were not so happy about the result, but tastes are known as being different, and on the 22th May 2004 crown prince Felipe married his Letizia there.
